61 days. TWO full months.

Well, that just accounts for overnight trips. If you include day trips, that number jumps above 3 months.

Oh, and did we mention we did all of this as brand new parents?! 👶 Traveling with a baby takes extra intentionality and slows down our pace, but all 3 of us truly love exploring!

So, what did we learn as tourists in Switzerland?

Here's what we didn't expect from our 2025 travels:

There are always more places to explore in this tiny country.

Our Google Maps are exploding with more pins than fireworks on New Years Eve.

Aside from tourist hotspots, there are a gazillion lesser-known areas that are just as stunning. (No need to fact check that number 😉).

Public transportation is awesome.

Okay, we knew this (obviously), but we rode luxury boats across giant lakes, old cogwheels up steep slopes, modern trains through long tunnels, and even drove a car on a train through a tunnel.

So cool, Switzerland!

Crans Montana Tragedy

It was devastating to hear about the New Years Eve fire in Crans Montana, Switzerland that killed 40 people and injured 100+ more.

We're praying for the families and friends of the victims, as well as for the people in Crans Montana. The Head of Tourism delicately shared that they are trying to balance a "respectful atmosphere" while allowing guests to enjoy their holiday.

It's a great reminder that no matter where we go in the world, we're surrounded by people who are celebrating as well as people who are suffering. Compassion is a wonderful gift to pack in your suitcase!

Zürich is one of the most expensive cities in the world. It’s also ranked as one of the best places to live for a high quality of life.
